What is happening

Tidwell Middle School and Medlin Middle School were given the Mark of Excellence and awarded as national winners by the The Foundation for Music Education. The Mark of Excellence is a national program that recognizes outstanding achievement in performance and recording quality. Ensembles submit live recordings, which are then reviewed and ranked by a panel of nationally recognized adjudicators.The top 25 percent of entries are awarded the Mark of Excellence. ​​​​​​​
